Dear Brothers and Sisters, We hope everyone is enjoying the July 4th holiday.
As a reminder, the Aerie will be closed all day so the bartenders can celebrate too. But come down on Friday, July 7, from 5:30-7:30, for a great steak dinner. A 14-ounce ribeye with baked potato, salad, and more for only $25. What a deal! As always, we need help from you, our members, to make this meal possible. The Worthy Secretrary needs your help! She has posted a list of members that are delinquent in their dues payments on the Rattskeller bulletin board and on a list behind the bar per the Grand Aerie Statutes.
The next time you are in please check to see if you know anyone on the list. If so, please ask them if they are still interested in being a member, and if so to please pay their dues in person, by snail mail, or via PayPal by going to FOE871.com. The grace period ends July 1st.
Once the Grand Aerie drops their membership, they will have to re-enroll if they want to remain a member and cannot visit the club until they have done so.
The re-enrollment process is as follows: New Application, $30.00 re-enrollment fee, Interview, be voted back into membership, NO initiation.

We have a new volunteer position of Cook's Assistant. It takes a lot of hands to prepare all the food for the steam table and to keep up with orders coming in. You don't need cooking experience -- just the ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and have fun.

Hi Everyone,
It's that time of year again! FOE ALVA 871 is hosting a party with live music, adult beverages (beer, wine, margaritas), soft drinks, and appetizers! Featuring Black Moon Tonic band playing a danceable mix of rocking covers and originals, the Party is on May 6th at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #871 1015 Cameron Street. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the show. First drink is free with admission. All proceeds will go to support Virginia Area 26 Special Olympic Sailing program (and other Area 26 sports programs) in Northern Virginia. Doors open at 7PM, music begins @ 8PM.
