It's that time of the year for the annual Eagles 871 Christmas party on Saturday, December 16.
Kick the night off with happy hour from 5-6 PM. Then enjoy a dinner with sides as we barbecue a whole pig and sides starting at 6 PM until 7 PM. Members are encouraged to bring appetizers or desserts to share. Following dinner stay for live music by Barco Beat from 7 to 11 PM.

Later Saturday afternoon we are honoring our Brother Rock Ruark with a reception from 5:00-7:00. Rock was elected to serve as Grand Aerie Outside Guard for the fraternal year 2023-2024. He is the first member of ALVA Aerie 871 to hold a national office. Come to the Rathskeller to congratulate Rock and enjoy appetizers and a hosted bar.

There are 3 proposals from Grover Gaming and the trustee's recommendation is to install 3 more machines. The other proposals are for installation of less machines. The Trustees will present the proposal(s) to the membership at the general meeting. The members present will vote to either approve or reject the proposal.

Please remember we have our Fall Cleanup Day this Saturday from 8:00-12:00. Some of the things we hope to accomplish are: clean out the garage and assemble new shelving units; move items from shed and storage closets throughout the Aerie to the garage; fix broken bar stools; deep clean of the Rathskeller; take inventory of tables, chairs, and table cloths upstairs; clean up the parking lot; and power wash the front porch if weather permits.
